Crisis commission to investigate Nya Karolinska

The government is appointing a crisis commission to investigate the Nya Karolinska Hospital in Solna (NKS). Dagens Nyheter reports that a team will look into the enormous costs and routines for procurement. There will be an accounting period for all procurements, investments and organisational adjustments in connection with the opening of the hospital. “Sweden must be safe. Healthcare must be safe. Healthcare being there when you need it is a foundation in our society. When that is challenged, the government must act,” said the Minister for Health and Social Affairs, Annika Strandhäll (S), at a press conference.
