Hans Lindberg appointed CEO of the Swedish Bankers’ Association

Hans Lindberg has been appointed new CEO of the Swedish Bankers’ Association. He replaces Thomas Östros, who has moved on to a job with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Mr Lindberg, the chief economist of the Moderate Party and a former State Secretary to the former Minister for Finance, Anders Borg (M), has also served as General Director at The Swedish National Financial Management Authority (Ekonomistyrningsverket). Previously Hans Lindberg worked as deputy General Director at the National Institute of Economic Research (Konjunkturinstitutet). Hans Lindberg takes up his new appointment on 10 August.
