Henrik Landerholm appointed Ambassdor to UAE

Henrik Landerholm has been appointed Ambassador to Abu Dhabi.  Since 2013, he has served as Ambassador of Sweden to Latvia.

Mr. Landerholm attended the Armored Corps Officer’s College as well as the Military Academy and served in tank/mechanized units from 1983-1991. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the Swedish Army Reserve in 2008.

Henrik Landerholm (M) has has a long experience as a politician and later as a civil servant. From 1982-1992 he served in the City Council of Strängnäs and between 1991-2002 he was a member of the Riksdag for the Moderate Party.  He chaired the Riksdag Committee for Defence from 1998-2002. 

He has served as Director General of the Folke Bernadotte Academy and President of the Swedish Defence University. From 2011-2013, he lead the Swedish joint civil-military effort in North Afghanistan.
