Real estate agents: Media main factor for housing price development

The majority of agents in the Association of Swedish Real Estate Agents survey ”Mäklarinsikt”, expect steady prices on the housing market during the first three months of the year, shows the Association’s press release. In the co-operative housing market (bostadsrättmarknad), 52% of real estate agents believe that prices do not change in the first quarter and 36% expect falling prices. The factor the brokers consider having the highest impact on the housing market is reporting in the media. Around 90% of the realtor’s asked estimated that the media will have a major impact on both co-operative housing (bostadsrätt) and small house market’s development during the first quarter.
