The State of Expat Life in Sweden Survey 2017/18

Reports of unfriendly Swedes don’t tell the whole story -  what is life in Sweden really like for people moving here from abroad?

We decided to find out. This autumn, Mundus International is working expat membership site New in Sweden (NiS), to uncover the details of expat life in Sweden. We will be interviewing expats that are here, the HR staff that organised their move and the Relocation Agents that supported them during the process. We will be digging deep to find out the full story about emigrating here and hope that new arrivals can then make much more informed decisions about their move to Sweden.

In 2016, NiS interviewed 50 expats about the challenges they face here and asked them what they needed more support with. This October (2017), the combined forces of NiS and Mundus International are asking expats what they think of life here and, this time, we’ll asking the opinions of the diplomats, HR staff and Relocation Agents too.

This survey is now closed. An in-depth report into the state of expat life in Sweden will be released in February 2018.
